Universitas is was founded to accelerate and build capacity in Deep Learning with a 21st century network of experts in applied AI. As a graduate student in Artificial Intelligence trained in Switzerland and China, Grogan recognized the applications of Artificial Neural Nets to solving novel problems, and set out to unleash human potential through Deep Learning. Whereas higher education cannot abruptly reorganize knowledge following the emergence of AI, Universitas takes Deep Learning as common ground for applied AI research, connecting experts and equipping pioneers from the visual arts to the sciences and engineering.
